COURSE DESCRIPTION: Roof Tile Advanced "THE SYSTEM"

CRA’s Roof Tile Course will review and train in all aspects of the roof tile system as it applies to Colorado and our unique conditions. Roof tiles have been installed in the Colorado area since the early 1900’s and over that time The System has Evolved that meets current Code standards, manufacturers installation guidelines, specific climate conditions, roof slope, underlayment systems and the roof tile being installed.

This course will start with pre-estimate/proposal requirements that lay the foundation of the system, then review the materials and methods needed to complete the system. The course will also include hands-on training in the shop, appropriate equipment/hand tools, safety hazards and good safety practices/techniques will be demonstrated.

Make a commitment to take a person out of the field for two days, we’ll train them and with their new knowledge and skills, they will be more productive when they return!


*Course Prerequisite*

Student(s) enrolling in this course must have met one of the following prerequisites to attend this advanced class:

  1. Successfully completed the Introduction to Roofing course

  2. Have a written statement from employer that affirms student has 6-months related on-the-job field experience in tile roofing.

 

By registering to attend a class at the CRA Training Center, you CONFIRM and ACCEPT the following terms, conditions, and policies.

Terms and Conditions:   Payment is required prior to class. 

Class Changes and Cancellations:  A class will be closed when it reaches its maximum enrollment, so register early. The CRA Training Center reserves the right to cancel any course in the event of insufficient enrollment. Course cancellations will be made at least one week prior to the course start date. Students enrolled in a cancelled class are entitled to a full refund.

         Refund Policy: If a cancellation notice is received in writing 7 calendar days           prior to the start of the course, a full (100%) refund will be issued within                   two weeks from the date of cancellation. No credit will be given for                         partial classes/sessions taken.

         Late Cancellation Policy (Less Than 7 Days’ Notice):

                *Cancellations made within 6 calendar days of the class start date are                        non-refundable.

                *If a participant is unable to attend, a substitute from the same                                    company may attend in their place at no additional charge. Please                            notify us in advance of any substitutions.

     No-Shows:

  • Registrants who do not show up for a class and do not provide written notice at least 7 calendar days in advance will forfeit the full registration fee.
  • No refunds or credits will be issued for no-shows.

Bring with you:

Students should bring their own gloves, safety glasses, and basic metal hand tools.

  • Offset snips; red and green
  • tape measure
  • chalk box
  • square
  • marking pencil or sharpie
  • folding tools; Duck bills and folding beam
  • cordless drills with # 2 square, #2 phillips, and ¼” hex bits
  • double cuts if any of them have them

(Supplementary tools will be available for use during the class.)
