Congratulations to the 2025 CRA Job of the Year Award Winners

Awards Dinner — February 26, 2025


The Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) proudly presented its 25th Annual Job of the Year Awards on February 26, 2026, during the annual Awards Dinner held at Social Capitol in Arvada, CO. These awards celebrate the outstanding craftsmanship, innovation, and dedication of CRA members across the state. Recognizing excellence in roofing, awards were given in four categories based on project size, highlighting the diverse and complex work completed by our talented members.

Each project was judged based on overall appearance, difficulty, technical specifications, and quality of the completed work.

Division I: Under $200,000

  • 1st Place: Kudu Roofing | Mitchell Hall Dome
    Kudu Roofing was awarded 1st Place in Division I for the Mitchell Hall Dome restoration at the Denver Botanic Gardens—a highly detailed project that restored the building’s distinctive concrete diamond dome while preserving its architectural character and ensuring long-term performance.
  • 2nd Place: Black Roofing & Waterproofing | University of Colorado Boulder - Folsom Field
    Black Roofing & Waterproofing earned 2nd Place in Division I for the wind-damaged roof replacement at Folsom Field—an intricate project requiring careful coordination, safety planning, and a high-performance roofing assembly designed to withstand extreme wind and hail exposure.

Division II: $200,001 - $500,000

  • 1st Place: Academy Roofing, Inc. | Old Y Road
    Academy Roofing, Inc. was awarded 1st Place in Division II for the Old Y Road residence—a complex foothills project that integrated standing seam metal roofing with custom architectural elements while navigating steep slopes, limited access, and multi-phase construction.
  • 2nd Place: Home Grown Roofing and Contracting | 350 Timber Trail Road
     Home Grown Roofing and Contracting earned 2nd Place in Division II for the Timber Trail Road project—a challenging mountain installation featuring advanced snow management systems, fire-rated materials, and a durable roofing assembly designed for harsh alpine conditions.

Division III: $500,001 - $1,000,000

  • 1st Place: Front Range Roofing Systems | 151 Detroit Street
    Front Range Roofing Systems received 1st Place in Division III for the 151 Detroit Street project—a large-scale high-rise roofing replacement in Cherry Creek completed while offices remained occupied below, requiring meticulous coordination, crane logistics, and strict safety management.
  • 2nd Place: Formula Roofing | Wray Fish Hatchery
    Formula Roofing was awarded 2nd Place in Division III for the Wray Fish Hatchery project—a unique multi-building installation that replaced roof systems across eleven structures while maintaining environmental protections and supporting ongoing state hatchery operations.

Division IV: Over $1,000,001

  • 1st Place: The Roofing Company | Highlands Westview Condos
    The Roofing Company earned 1st Place in Division IV for the Highlands Westview Condos project—a complex mountain installation requiring extensive planning, steep-slope safety systems, and a highly engineered roofing assembly designed for durability and fire protection.
  • 2nd Place: Turner Morris Commercial Roofing | Tyrolean Lodge
    Turner Morris Commercial Roofing was awarded 2nd Place in Division IV for the Tyrolean Lodge project in Vail Village—a highly visible re-roofing project featuring custom copper standing seam panels and completed while residents remained onsite throughout construction.

The CRA Awards Dinner continues to be a special evening to honor the “Best of the Best” in Colorado’s roofing industry. From exceptional projects across steep and low slope categories to the recognition of individuals who have made a lasting impact, the Awards Dinner highlights the skill, dedication, and professionalism of CRA members.
